Originally from North – Eastern Nigeria. I moved to Bangor Gwynedd, North-Wales in January 2011 and have studied, worked and live here since then. My education and work experiences are in the environment and education sectors, locally and internationally. My research interests have revolved around conservation and environmental science including specialized areas like savannah ecosystem ecology and natural resource management, including protected areas management (using participatory approaches), waste management, human-wildlife conflicts, vulnerability and adaptations of livelihoods to climate change in semi-arid and arid regions.

I am Founder CEO of JAVS Environmental Care Ltd (Nigeria) AND Tallafi is a UK based Charity. I am currently a freelance educator, consultant, mentor and altruist. I am founder and chair of the North Wales Africa Society (formerly called GAS) In September 2018, with the blessings of the Major of the city of Bangor, his worship John Wynn Hughes, we established the North Wales Africa Society (NWAS). NWAS is a collective of members of the African diaspora community and people in North Wales (UK) who are interested in Africa. We provide support and opportunities for Africans living or studying in North Wales and other parts of the cultures with the local communities around us. The main aim of the society is to explore and establish links between Africa and Wales under three focus areas: Social, Education and Business (SEB). Since then, there has been huge interest and attention on NWAS.

I have talked in several meetings throughout Wales and have several organizations collaborating with us including Hub Cymru Africa, Sub-Saharan Advisory Panel, Race Council Cymru, Bangor University (Sustainability Lab, Widening Access, International Student Support etc.) National Slate Museum Wales, Fair Trade etc. We are on Facebook and twitter:https://www.facebook.com/gwyneddafricasociety, @gwyneddafrica. My appointment as the Race Council Cymru North Wales Links resulted from the successes and growth of NWAS. In 2015, I received the Outstanding Black Woman Achievement Award in Wales.
