Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
Celebrate with us! We’re delighted to announce that Grand Finale of our youth project – ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants’ takes place tomorrow. Saturday, 9th October 10am – 12pm at Llanwern High School, Newport.Our first ‘Creative Research & Discovery Youth Project’s’ mandate was to work with a group of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic young people to develop and hone their research and journalistic skills. Ten students from schools across Newport engaged in a series of masterclasses, which were ably delivered by highly sought after speakers in their respective disciplines.
All welcome – the event will also be shown on Zoom as due to COVID safety regulations, the in-person event is restricted to the students, their families and specially invited guests.
