Memorial Service for Minority Ethnic and Commonwealth Servicemen & Women

We were delighted to launch the Black History Wales at St Fagans Museum of History on Saturday 1 October 2022. Celebrating the history, culture and contributions of people of Black-African and African Caribbean heritage through music, performances and art, the launch programme was opened by the Minister of Social Justice, Jane Hutt MS. It included performances by young music artists Lucas Rowe, Blank Face, Wahda and the Fitzalan Youth Steel Pan Band, Xenith, Miss Faithee and Rose Gold Gospel Choir. We also hosted a Black History Wales marketplace with stalls produced for sale and food tasting from African and Caribbean pop up food stalls.  Arts & crafts activities for children and a wealth of organisations showcasing the best of Black History Wales
