It is more important than ever to help young people understand about ‘Shared World History’ and Chris Campbell, and the team he works with, bring inspiration in presentations that enable school children and communities to explore and understand their own identity and to understand how to respect the interesting identities of others.

Chris Campbell was born in Birmingham and has Jamaican parents who came to Britain after the Second World War. He is a part of what is now referred to as the Windrush Generation. Chris searched to find his own identity – he is the direct descendant of Africans. Chris is also Welsh, living in Torfaen, and he is a Rastafarian, living a way of life in which individuals show through their words and actions, their respect for themselves, and of others and the planet we all share. Chris’ work is based on these beliefs.

Now living in South Wales with his Welsh family, Chris brings his ideas and experiences to share with children and to help schools develop a ‘Fair and Friendly’ strategy, developing this approach.

By introducing Shared World Black History into the curriculum, and helping children to research and understand what has happened in the past, we want to help children understand the truth about Shared World History and to understand that the world needs to be a fairer place, respecting our differences and recognising that we are all members of the family of humanity.

The CCC team brings a range of options into schools which will be of benefit to the students, and the wider communities we work in based on developing better understanding of ‘Shared World History’.
