Leanne is a professional projects manager, trainer, arts, and events coordinator who has developed her practice around audio visual, performance arts and diversity. Leanne established her passion for the arts while taking part in workshops facilitated by the Black Film and Video Workshop in Wales and later graduated from the Newport Film School with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Video. Leanne then went on to work voluntarily as the Co-ordinator for the International Black Film Festival in Wales initiating the first ‘Shorts in Colour’ tour and Junior Film & Video workshops. Leanne specialises in programming, curating and developing diverse arts products as well as offering support and advice on innovative ways in which to diversify audiences and reach as well as actively involve communities that are poorly represented within arts participation and arts delivery in Wales. Leanne’s skills include project and event management and she is notably recognised for her work in fundraising, managing and coordinating, in a multi-partner multi-strand approach, the flagship programme – Black History Month Wales.
